Pentagon Anchoring Systems

One commonly used solution to the problem is the addition of a polyester safety film. Thick safety films do a good job of holding the glass fragments together in the event of breakage. This is why they are referred to as "saftey films" or "fragment retention films". Holding the shards of flass together creates a safer work place... but not necessarily a more secure one. If the filmed glass is broken with enough force, it could be blown out or knocked out of its frame.

The performance of safety film can be greatly enhanced through the use of an attachment or anchoring system. This system helps to prevent the entire pane of glass from being blown out of the window frame. The most critical step in creating a sager and more secure glass system is to anchor or attach the safety film to the window or door frames.

Pentagon Z-LOK® - Anti Burglar Systems

Smash & Grab burglary is increasing and statistics show that more than 70% of these burglaries involve forced entry through the weakest link…the glass doors. Safety film alone may not provide the level of protection that is required. That is where we excel. Pentagon Protection provides "Total Glass Protection" with our Pentagon Z-LOK® Edge Retention Systems.

Z-LOK® is specifically designed for storefront doors and is installed in addition to 8 Mil or thicker security films to the doors of premises vulnerable to "Smash and Grab" attacks. Pentagon Protection's experienced, factory trained / certified installers will expertly apply the film and Z-LOK® Edge Retention System to form an almost invisible layer of protection which holds glass shards together when a pane breaks.

We offer full installation and maintenance service and can provide risk assessment surveys nationwide.

Pentagon Elite and Pentagon Select FrameGARD™

Pentagon Elite and Pentagon Select / FrameGARD™ “anchoring” systems are designed to secure the applied film to the window frame. This creates a far more substantial protective solution than film alone. In extreme situations such as bomb-blast, burglary or hurricanes, the glass could be blown or knocked out of its frame.

In the aftermath of a disaster, if the broken glass is retained in the frame, the risk of looting is lessened & the chances for business continuity are greatly increased.

Pentagon Elite®

Flexible Anchoring Profile…can be easily fitted to most commercial style widows to securely attach the safety film directly to the frame. When a thief attempts to break in or in the event of a catastrophic wind-storm or even a nearby explosion, the Pentagon Elite Protection System helps to retain the glass in the frame.

Elite is supplied in 108 foot rolls and is available in either black or white.

Pentagon Select® & Framegard™

Metal Anchoring Profile…FrameGARD, like the Elite, bonds the glass, film and frame together to form one assembly, making it a safer and more secure window system. FrameGARD is screwed in place through the base profile into the window frame and the film which is wrapped behind the FrameGard. An optional cap may be fitted to the base section, available in a range of colors to match the window frame.
